The call for proposals has been announced for the May 30, 2008 NEFDC Conference: “Teaching Outside the Box: Teaching & Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls” to be held at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst:
THE NEFDC Spring Conference will focus on the world of EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING – the engagement of students through pedagogy that extends beyond the classroom, or incorporates the foundation of hands-on real-world experiences into the work of class. We will explore aspects of teaching, learning and assessment that look at long-term experiential projects, individualized internships, study-abroad, and classroom pedagogy with a hands-on foundation designed to engage student learners.
